Definition	The fatty alcohol derived from ricinoleic acid. It has a long, straight chain with one double bond and one hydroxyl group in a secondary position besides the primary group on the end. Available as a 90% product.
Appearance	Colorless, nondrying liquid at room tem- perature. Iodine value 91.8%, cloud point ?12.2C, boiling range 170–328C, viscosity 51 . Combustible.
