C6 NBD Lactosylceramide (d18:1/6:0) is a biologically active derivative of lactosylceramides (d18:1/acyl mixture) that is tagged with a fluorescent C-6 nitrobenzoxadiazole (C-6 NBD; ) group.¹ C6 NBD Lactosylceramide (d18:1/6:0) has been used to study the effects of P-glycoprotein inhibition in lactosylceramide metabolism-based therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. As this product is derived from a natural source, there may be variations in the sphingoid backbone.
