Tulipalin A is the unsubstituted a-methylene-g-butyrolactone
contained in the sap of damaged tulips
(Liliaceae family) and Alstroemeria (Alstroemeriaceae
family). Tulipalin B, due to hydrolysis of tuliposide B,
seems to have a weak sensitizing capacity.
