(βS)-β-Aminocyclohexanepropanoic Acid Ethyl Ester is used in the synthesis of quinolizidinones and indolizidinones, including Lasubine II. Also used in the coupling reaction involving β-amino acids and aryl halides at temperatures lower than those used in the Ullmann reaction.
