Brazil nut oil (Bertholletia excelsa) is used in skin care products as an emollient and skin conditioner to help keep the skin soft, smooth, and supple. Brazil nut oil is composed of linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid. Studies indicate it also contains high levels of beta-tocopherol providing it with antioxidant properties.
