Description
Monoferric phytate (MFP) is a natural compound existed in wheat bran and accounts for about half the Fe in whole wheat. Monoferric phytate is soluble at pH ≥7.0 and may therefore be a relatively available form of dietary Fe. Monoferric phytate was a good source of iron for rats whereas diferric phytate and tetraferric phytate [72657-09-1] were very poor sources.
