Methyl helicterate is a triterpenoid, that can be isolated from Helicteres angustifolia (Sterculiaceae). Methyl helicterate inhibits hepatic stellate cell activation and promotes cell apoptosis through downregulating the ERK1/2 signaling pathway[1][2][3].
