1. General Information

Calcium Laurate is the calcium salt of lauric acid, widely used as a lubricant, stabilizer, emulsifier, and surface-active agent. It appears as a fine white powder, slightly greasy to the touch, with good dispersibility in water and organic systems.

• Appearance: White to off-white fine powder

• Odor: Slight fatty odor

• Melting Point: ~42–48 °C (softening range)

• Bulk Density: 0.20–0.40 g/cm³

• Solubility: Insoluble in water, soluble in hot ethanol and some organic solvents
