Bepp2 can be used as host material to fabricate orange, green, red EL devices too.
Bis[2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)pyridine]beryllium, also known as Bepp2, is a hydroxyphenylpyridine beryllium complex[1]. Bepp2 has photoluminescence and electroluminescence properties. Its fluorescence emission peak is approximately 450 nm (blue light) and has a high fluorescence intensity[2]. Bepp 2 can be used as an emitting material for the manufacture of blue light electroluminescent devices, and can also be used as a host material to fabricate orange-red EL devices.
