Arachidoyl ethanolamide is a saturated fatty acyl ethanolamide which does not demonstrate typical CB1/CB2 activity. Arachidoyl ethanolamide neither binds the murine CB1receptor, nor does it compete with anandamide as a substrate for the endocannabinoid hydrolytic enzyme fatty acid amide hydrolase.
