4-MPD (also known as 4-Methylpentedrone and 4-Methyl--methylamino-valerophenone), is a stimulant belonging to the Cathinone group. It is a higher homologue of 4-Methylmethcathinone (Mephedrone) and 4-Methylbuphedrone (4-MeMABP), and the p-Methyl analogue of Pentedrone.
Pentedrone is a substituted cathinone that is structurally similar to methcathinone, a psychoactive stimulant that is a controlled substance in the United States and other countries. 4-methyl Pentedrone is an analog of pentedrone that features a methyl group added at the 4 position of the phenyl ring. The physiological and toxicological properties of this compound are not known.
