2,5-Dimethylbenzene-1,4-diol is an intermediate used in the synthesis of β-Tocopherol (Racemic Mixture) (T625170), which is one of the naturally occurring forms of Vitamins E and is biologically less active than α-Tocopherol. This is the racemic mixture of all stereoisomers.
