Description
12(S)-HETrE is produced by 12-lipoxygenase oxidation of dihomo-γ-linolenic acid (DGLA).
1 12(S)-HETrE is reported to inhibit agonist-mediated platelet activation (IC
50 = 40 μM), α granule secretion, integrin αIIbβ3 activation, Rap1 activation, and thrombin-induced clot retraction
in vitro.

Definition
ChEBI: 12(S)-HETrE is a HETrE that is (8Z,10E,14Z)-icosatrienoic acid in which the hydroxy group is located at the 12(S)-posiiton. It has a role as a human xenobiotic metabolite. It is functionally related to an all-cis-icosa-8,11,14-trienoic acid. It is a conjugate acid of a 12(S)-HETrE(1-).
