Biological Activity
RA839 is an active in vivo, highly selective and potent activator of Nrf2 (transcription factor NF-E2-related factor 2) signaling. RA839 binds noncovalently to the Nrf2-interacting kelch domain of Keap1 thereby inhibiting the interaction between Keap1 and Nrf2. RA839 inhibits the induction of both inducible nitric oxide synthase expression and nitric oxide release in response to lipopolysaccharides in macrophages. RA-839 is a potent antagonist of Rotavirus propagation in vitro th at inhibits viral RNA and protein expression.
