Description

Amino-PEG20-acid is a wter soluble compound containing an amino group with a terminal carboxylic acid. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. The amino group is reactive with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, carbonyls (ketone, aldehyde) etc. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or HATU) to form a stable amide bond.

Uses

Fmoc-N-amido-PEG20-acid (CAS# 1952360-93-8) is a useful polymeric building block, used in the preparation of GLP-?1 derivatives and analogs with a branched acylation.
