Purification Methods
Thioguanosine is crystallised (as hemihydrate) from hot H2O (charcoal) and cooled slowly to give tapered prisms. It also crystallises by dissolving in dilute NH3 and acidifying with acetic acid, and then recrystallising from H2O.
