Description
Geranyl isobutyrate has a light rose odor and a sweet, apricot-like
taste. It is synthesized by heating geraniol and acetic isobutyric
aldehyde in the presence of sodium acetate in toluene and then
distilling the formed acetic acid as an azeotrope.
