Uses
4,5-Dihydroxynaphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid disodium salt dihydrate, is used to improve the visualization of trichothecenes on developed TLC plates. It serves as an intermediate in the production of dyes, pigments, chelating reagents, sulfonic and sulfinic acids.
