JX401 (349087-34-9) is a potent, cell-permeable inhibitor of p38α (IC50 = 32 nM). No inhibition of p38β was observed at 10 μM.

JX-401 is an inhibitor of p38α isoform MAP kinase, blocks the differentiation of myoblasts and myotubes.
