Occurrence A macrocycJic alkaloid, cycJocelabenzene occurs in the extract of May tenus massambiaensis. It forms colourless crystals from EtOH and is dextrorotatory with a specific rotation of [α]D25 +30.2° (c 0.83, CHCI3).
