3-O-Methyl Danshensu can be useful in the characterization of metabolites in rat after administration of Danshensu . It can also be useful in the study of sebestenoids A-D, BACE1 inhibitors from Cordia sebestena, and isolation and characterization of matrix metalloproteinase-2 inhibitors from Clinopodium chinense var. parviflorum.
