FR 78844 is a potent and orally active bone resorption inhibitor. FR 78844 has the potential for the research of diabetes associated osteopenia[1].
in vivo
FR 78844 (1, 10, 100 mg/kg; p.o.; 5 days a week for 4 weeks) attenuates the decrease of metaphyseal bone mineral density in rats[1].
Animal Model:
Nine weeks old female Wistar rats (streptozotocin(STZ)-diabetic rats) [1]
Dosage:
1, 10, 100 mg/kg
Administration:
P.o.; 5 days a week for 4 weeks
Result:
Significantly attenuated the decrease of metaphyseal bone mineral density.
