it is insoluble in water, but soluble in hot benzene, ethanol and glacial acetic acid. It is soluble in hot water and ethanol, but almost insoluble in chloroform and benzene.
Application
It is a smooth muscle relaxant. Used for hypertension, angina pectoris and cerebral vasospasm. It is also used for neuropoliomyelitis, peripheral facial nerve palsy, mononeuritis and polyneuritis.
