<li>Plasma concentration of lamotrigine is increased by the glucuronidation inhibitor valproate (reduce lamotrigine dose to avoid increased risk of toxicity).</li>
<li>Plasma concentration of lamotrigine is reduced by the glucuronidation inducers carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital and primidone.</li>
<li>Lamotrigine can raise concentration of active metabolite of carbamazepine (conflicting evidence).</li>
</ul>
<span style="font-size:14px"><strong>With other drugs</strong></span>
<ul>
<li>Plasma concentration of lamotrigine is reduced by the glucuronidation inducers oestrogens, rifampicin, and ritonavir (consider increasing the dose of lamotrigine).</li>
<li>Plasma concentration of lamotrigine is possibly increased by desogestrel.</li>
</ul>
